Happy Spring and Happy Pink Roses! I got these gorgeous roses to honor my mom when she passed a couple years ago, from three very dear blogging buddies!

I’ve met them all now, but at the time I’d known them each less than a year, and we’d never gotten together in real life. But even then, they were special to me in a way that only people who share the same passions can be. I’m so grateful and happy to call them my friends!

Thank you Mary, Chas, and Andrea!

A Delivery of Pink Roses

The pink roses themselves were from The Bouqs Company.

They were so healthy and beautiful and gorgeous, I might have to sign up for the monthly flower subscription!

Anyway, of course I just HAD to set a table with them! But first —

An Apology and A Lesson

I’m apologizing right up front for these photos! I took them outside in the bright midday sunlight, with only a tiny bit of shade.

My cell phone camera usually takes pretty good pictures outside. But due to the position of the sun – or something, more research needed – I could hardly see the phone screen! Even with both the phone AND my eyes shaded.

Consequently, many of my photos were too blurry to use. Some were focused on the wrong thing, and some were just completely off-axis.

I learned my lesson though: Make sure you can see what you’re taking pictures of!

But onward –

I’d been so inspired by Shannon Blackford of Belle Bleu Interiors! A couple months ago, she set a gorgeous blue and white table with a centerpiece of pink roses. As soon as I saw it, I totally wanted to set one of my own.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any blue and white plates! (I know – how is this possible?!)

DIY ~ Blue & White Plates

However, I’d seen several people use Mod Podge and printed paper napkins to cover things. I had the glass salad plates. I had the blue and white dinner napkins.

But I didn’t have any Mod Podge. I borrowed something close, but I think next time, I’ll get some of the dishwasher safe Mod Podge instead. (Planning ahead, yes?!) I took pictures of my DIY process, here.

In the meantime, here’s our blue and white tablescape with pink roses!

Tablecloth For Pink Roses

I wanted some texture in the tablecloth, not just a solid color. But another thing I didn’t have, was a light patterned tablecloth.

Creativity wins out again, though. I just reversed my red paisley one!

Here it is folded over so you can see the front.

The light texture went so well with my pink roses, and didn’t fight with the blue pattern either.

Cloth Napkins ~ Paper Napkins

I just love these blue and white napkins! Besides making patterned plates out of them, I also wanted to use them for their intended purpose.

Just by themselves, they were a little overwhelming on the table. So I wrapped them with some solid pink damask cloth napkins, and they looked lovely.

I’ve never done it before, but mixing the cloth and paper was kind of fun. Lots of interesting textures!

Crystal and Silver

I feel like I always have a paragraph that’s about crystal and silver. Well, I guess that’s how you know you’ve found your favorite thing!

And sparkly crystal is definitely one of my favorite things! It can dress up any table, and always makes you feel special. These water glasses are so strong, they’ve actually lasted longer than most of my everyday water glasses.

Also, I’m always going off about how you can use the things you already have. Therefore, if you go back through almost any of my tablescape posts, you’ll see this crystal and silver over and over! For instance, the post where I got my new blush table linens!

Silver Accessories With Pink Roses

In keeping with my silver theme, I used other silver pieces on this table. For instance, the chargers. These are relatively new, and I’m still super excited about them!

They’re really elegant, very well made, and not too expensive. Plus they’re easy to get via Amazon.

Another little elegant touch that’s so easy to do.

Add in the silver wine bucket vase, and some silver napkin rings, and it’s a wrap!

Thanks for sharing this blue and white + pink roses tablescape with me! It was so fun to do, and a lovely spot for a little afternoon snack! With champagne in those glasses, along with our roses, of course!
