Leasing

Picking Your Home

Whether this is your first apartment, or you’ve rented before, we are happy to guide you through the leasing process. We pride ourselves in making this a comfortable process from application to handing you the keys.

Choose from available locations, move-in dates, and leasing terms that work best for your needs. Once you’ve selected the location and terms that work for you, it’s time to apply and get yourself one step closer to packing up and moving in!

Living

Preparing for Move-In

Once you’re approved, it’s time to contact the leasing office to schedule a time to pick up the keys to your new home! During this visit, you'll also need to pay your deposit and provide a copy of your ID(s), proof of rental insurance, and verification of utilities. Finally, be sure to sign your move-in condition form 48 hours after your move-in to complete your move-in experience.

Once you’re settled in and are enjoying your new home, connect with us on the Resident Portal to easily submit maintenance requests, make payments, and check your balances. We’re happy you’re here!

Renewing

It’s Time to Renew!

We hope you enjoy your time as an IRT Living resident as much as we enjoy having you. Approximately four months before your lease expires, you will receive a “pre-renewal” survey to complete. The information you provide will help us better understand your experience and make any necessary improvements. At least two months prior to your lease expiration, you will receive notification from our leasing office on your renewal options. It’s our job to make sure you are comfortable, so we’ll do what we can to make the decision for you to renew an easy one!

Green initiatives at IRT Living

IRT remains committed to reducing our impact on the environment. We have launched many initiatives to do just that. Our most notable is our partnership with One Tree Planted. For every new move-in, one tree is planted across regions of the United States to support reforestation. Over 45,000 trees and counting have been planted!

At each of our communities, we continue to implement changes that will reduce our carbon footprint. Many of our communities have implemented water-saving measures. We identify increased utility usage immediately, allowing us to eliminate leaks. Ask about our recycling and doorstep “valet trash” recycling pickup, where we collect and responsibly dispose of electronic waste such as monitors and hard drives in partnership with a third party.
