OBITUARIES ST. GEORGE-Dan Muir Ogden, age 81, died Saturday, March 18, 1995, af the Dixie Regional Medical Center. He was born March 12, 1914. in Richfield, Utah, a son of Heber Thomas and Margaret Muir 0g- den. He married Elda Black December 12, 1933, in the Manti LDS Temple.

She died December 15, 1969. He later married LaDonna C. Hamblin July 25, 1970, in the St. George LDS Temple. Dan was reared and educated in Richfield.

Utah. Shortly after their marriage, he and his wife Elda served a mission at the Manti LDS Temple. They lived in Kanab from 1957 until 1968. He was the founder and former owner of Dan M. Ogden and Sons Trucking in Midvale, Utah.

Dan was always an active member of the LDS Church, who loved attending the temple. He had served as bishop in the Richfield First and Kanab South Wards. He was a positive influence on many people's lives. Survivors include his wife, LaDonna of St. George; two sons, Norman (Karen) Ogden of Murray, Utah; David (MeryLee) Ogden of Salt Lake City; a daughter, LeAnn (Mike) Ford of South Jordan, Utah; daughters-in-law, Lois Jean Ogden of Orem, Utah; and Range Ogden of American Fork; 51 grandchildren, 46 greatgrandchildren; three sisters, Margaret (Elmo) Rerring of Richfield, Mabel Harward of Springville, Utah; and Ramona Christensen of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dan was preceded in death by two sons, Black and Mickle; a daughter, Loraine; and a grandson, Troy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 22, 1995, 10 a.m. at the Bloomington Hills Sixth Ward Chapel, 750 East Fort Pierce Drive. Friends may call Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at the Spilsbury-Desert Rose Mortuary, 58 North 100 East, and again on Wednesday at the ward chapel, one hour prior to services.

Cahoon Shaw at the home of her son. Born October 31, 1904, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Ernst Max Engemann and Anna Marie Gaertner. Married Frank E. Scheffner June 26, 1929, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died May 8, 1980.

A graduate of West High School, she was employed by Palmer Bond and Mortgage Company for several years prior to her marrage. She was an active member of the Wasatch Ward, serving as a junior Sunday school teacher for 25 years, a member of the Relief Society presidency, and as a visiting teacher. She enjoyed flowers. Johanna will be remembered for her beautiful yard and flower gardens. Her warm, friendly smile and concern for others will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Gordon F. (daughter-in-law, Naoma); grandsons, Fred (Ashley), Gary (Jennifer); granddaughter, Barbara Ann; great-grandson, Andrew Fred; sister, Marion Orchard; and brother Max E. Engman. Preceded in death by two sisters. Alice Engemann and Martha Parsons.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, March 22, at the Wasatch Ward at 1455 Emerson Avenue. Cahoon Shaw, 73, died March 18, 1995, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born May 6, 1921, in Provo, Utah. She resided in Las Vegas, Nevada for 45 years and had just recently moved to Salt Lake City. "Dottie" as she preferred to be called, moved to Las Vegas in 1950 with her former husband Howard Cahoon and children. They purchased and operated the Motor-Vu Drive-In Theatre on the Las Vegas Strip.

They later built and operated the Sky-Way Drive-In on Boulder Highway. She was at one time a very avid bowler and was a past president of the Las Vegas Women's Bowling Association. She was a beautiful, talented and intelligent woman with much versatility during her lifetime. Apart from operating the theatres, she had a variety of careers including, fashion modeling, machinist, bus driver, a construction clean-up business, and nursery and landscaping business. She worked hard all of her life and never complained.

Swindle Brose H. Swindle, 81, in the arms of his family Born to a pioneering family of Pinto, Utah on July 26, 1913, in Monroe, Utah, the son of Joseph A. and Etta Hodges Swindle. Brose had a full and active life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, roaming the mountains of Monroe in his youth, as well as throughout the remainder of his life.

He married Carol Hunt in 1938. Retired from Standard Oil in 1973. on March 18, 1995. From 1968-1980 managed the Hi-Ute Ranch in Park City, raising Arabian show horses. He had a kind and generous heart, giving fully to his loving family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Hunt Swindle: brother, Ward G. Swindle; sons, Joseph (Rula) Swindle, Murray; and Spence (Wilma) Swindle, Heber, daughter, Sauna (Wally) Williams, Sandy; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister, Norma Mortensen, and two brothers, Dan and Dwight Swindle. She was 48. She had battled multiple sclerosis for years. She was born September 17, 1946 in Vernal, Utah and graduated from Brigham Young University in 1969. She married Bruce David Jones of Salt Lake City, Utah April 5, 1971, and moved to New Jersey the same year.

Tamera was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and has been active all her life. She had held a number of positions in the church, including, Young Women's President, Road Show Director, Relief Society teacher, Seminary teacher, Cub Pack leader, Primary worker, Activities Committee, as well as a Visiting Teacher. Survived by her husband, Bruce David, three daughters, Amanda, of Provo, Utah; Stacie and Lauren, living at home; three sons, Parker, attending the University of Utah; Nathan and David, also at home; parents, listed above, brothers and sisters include: Blaine, Beverly, Mark Russell, Valerie, Allen and Connie. Judd SPRING -Stanley R. Judd, 84, died March 19, 1995, in Price. He was born March 22, 1910, in Orangeville, Utah to David H. and Hettie Robertson Judd. Married Elva Jane Bailey July 29, 1933, in Price; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.

She died in 1975. He later married Carol Booth January 15, 1976, in the Provo LDS Temple. As an active member of the LDS Church, he served in numerous callings including bishop, member of the stake presidency, and as stake Patriarch. He worked in the coal mines since he was 12 years old, a total of 73 years. His annual gardening was his summer project, sharing everything with his neighbors.

He cherished outings with his family. Above all, he loved children, his own and others. His is survived by his wife, Carol of Spring Glen; three daughters and spouses, Joyce and Keith Jones, Charlotte and Dennis Greener, all of Washington; Marilyn and Verdon Manwaring of Vernal; stepsons and spouses, Jack and Lois Booth of West Valley, Gary and Sharra Booth of Springville. Also survived by 24 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob Judd of Price, Tom Judd of Price, Garner Judd of sister, Betty George of Layton. Preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and one great-grandson.

Michael John Monteith Michael John Monteith, 47, died February 22, 1995, of brain cancer. Mike's spirit helped him to endure as he fought a courageous baffle to live. In spite of the frustrations of his illness, he still retained his concern for keeping his sense of humor. Mike's positive influence is permanently etched in the lives of those who loved him. We all share and carry a part of him that can never be lost.

Those of us who were fortunate enough to know him are better people because of him. Mike is survived by myself, Linda, his wife; Although life gave us only a few years togetherthe love and memories we shared are more than enough to last a lifetime. Mike is also survived by his "family of Mike, Marsha, Chrissie and Heather Smith; Bob and Lynn Smith; Paul and Diane Schnarr, Dave and Donna Root; Ron and Pam Bourgeois; Franz Siep; Terry Rogers; Diana Cass; and many more, who though not mentioned, know and will always remember the treasured friendship they shared with Mike. A heartfelt thanks to the University of Utah: Medical Center staff, expecially Dr. Leslie McAllister, Carol Shepard, and the nurses of 3 North, for their concern not just for life, but also for quality of life.

And Kathryn Waddell, our psychologist, who kept us sane. A time to gather and remember Mike will be Friday, March 24, 6 p.m. at La Caille Restaurant. The celebration is a gift from Mike and those who enjoyed his friendship are invited to attend. Everyone is encouraged to bring a photograph and a story to share.

Emma F. Ward Emma F. Ward, 94, passed away peacefully her home, March 17. 1995 in Salt Lake City. She was born April 8, 1901 to Franz Porschatis and Maria Sabelgunst in Bielefelt, Germany.

She married Earl Ward, December 3, 1923. She was a member of the LDS Church. Lived a long and productive life being involved with her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Wally Ward, grandchildren, Lynn Ward and Jan Tanner, greatgrandchildren, Carol Hunga, Ryan Ward, Amber Ward, Amy Gifford, Adam Tanner, Alyson Tanner and Nicholas Tanner. She was preceded in death by her son, Earnest McSwain, Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 1995 at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, at 12 noon.

Friends may call one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery. Scott Lynn Wells Lynn Wells, 29, died March 18, 1995, of heart failure. Born December 11, 1965, in Price, Utah to James Raymond Wells Sr. and Betty Jean Johnson Wells.

He was an elder in the LDS Church. He worked in various businesses in the area, including the Mecca Cate, Clear Creek Summer Camp, Eastern Utah Produce, Deseret Industries, Utah State Road, and as a stockman at Wal-Mart since its opening in Price. He is survived by his father, Wells of Wel- lington; brothers and sisters, JoAnn Swahlen. Deon Wells, Jim Wells, Stephanie Wells, Mike and Liese Wells, all of Wellington; Kathy and Bruce Munns, Mary and Gary Scow of Price, Jerry and Paula Wells of California, Art and Tina Wells of West Valley City, Ron and Anita Wells of Texas, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Jean Wells, and a sister, Elizabeth. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 21, 1995, at 12 noon in the Wellington Ward Chapel. Friends may call Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Fauseft Mortuary Tuesday one hour prior to services. Burial, Wellington City Cemetery.

Herbert L. Wilkinson Herbert LeRoy Wilkinson Jr. 1995, at his home in Salt Lake Herb was born January 6, 1936, in Salt Lake to Herbert LeRoy and Mildred Pearl Spicer Wilkinson. He grew up in San Fernando and Jackson Hole. He married Georganne Lucille Gardner March 21, 1958, in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.

After graduation from BYU, they moved to San Diego, California where he was a city planner for about 25 years. Upon retirement they died March 17, City. Lake City. Cleo Virginia Wright came to Utah to pursue his dream of developing software for municipal governments. He was most proud of producing two large-scale musicals for the San Diego region of the LDS Church: the bicentennial pageant, "Pulling Together the American Way" and "My San a tribute to the Mormon Battalion's part in the history of that city.

He was a colonel in the Battalion. He is survived by his wife of Salt Lake City; daughter, Jennifer (Richard) Becker of Barcelona, Spain; his sons, David Wilkinson and Darren (Betsy) Wilkinson of Salt Lake City; two grandsons. Gage Herbert and Kyle Ronald Wilkinson; his sister, Barbara (Jack) Davis of Orem. Funeral services Wednesday, March 22, 1995, 12 noon, Arlington Hills Ward Chapel, 1300 East Fairfax Road. Cleo Virginia Wright, loving wife, mother, aunt friend, returned home Sunday, March 19, 1995, following a brief illness. She was born December 5, 1917, in Salt Lake City, a daughter of John Robert Faulkner and Nellie Denney. She grew up in Salt Lake City and married her neighborhood sweetheart, Louis Edwin Wright, on September 2, 1939.

Cleo and her husband enjoyed many pleasant hours in camping and travel. She was a member of the LDS Church and served faithfully as a Relief Society secretary for many years. She is survived by one daughter and her husband, Mrs. Roger (Judy) Huntinghouse, San Diego, Calif; and one brother, Melvin Edward Faulkner, Salt Lake City; and many loving sisters-inlaw, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, three brothers and two sisters.

Viewing will be held at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Wednesday, March 22, 1995, from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m., Salt Lake City Cemetery.
